The Importance of Keywords for SEO

Keywords are crucial for contents creating in a website because we want to get more traffic exposure onto Search Engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing with that particular keywords. Without proper keywords, we might get different audiences who are not interested to our site contents.

Another thing that is highly recommended is finding the proper keywords for SEO. If you have keywords that are randomly taken, you might not be able to rank well on Search Engines. So having the right keywords ideas is VERY IMPORTANT!

How to Get Keywords Ideas for SEO

There are many tools to get keywords ideas, but little can perform best keywords to rank easily. Doing a keyword research is crucial to start developing contents we want to write about and get searched by tons of people on search engines. If you want to learn more, I have done a post previously on How to Do a Keyword Research with 4 simple steps to follow for beginners.

After having a list of keywords ideas, it is time to put them into a keyword tool! I am personally using Jaaxy Keyword Tool for my best keywords research. You can have a free-trial of 30 searches using it. You can also use other free tool such as Google Keyword Planner for your best keywords research. (I don’t recommend as it is complicated and not specifically defined to use for research)

Which Keywords are The Best for SEO?

Whatever keyword research tool you use, one thing you need to pay attention to, which is the competition! What most people make a mistake on getting their content ranked is choosing the high competition keywords. Trust me..you will never get your post/page ranked on the 1st page of search engines if you choose high competition keywords!

As a smart person, we need to take low competition keywords and find more of it. This type of keywords is easy to rank within weeks/months. Note that if you choose 10 different keywords with average 50 searches per month and below 200 competitors. You have higher chances to rank on the 1st page and get 500 visitors to your site! For Low Competition example, Click on the image below:

Jaaxy - Keyword Tool Research

As you can see, there are 96 and 192 Avg Monthly Searches under the “How to make money online for beginners” and “How to make money online as a kid” keywords. Anything below 300 for competition is quite easy to rank. By using Jaaxy, I can simply write an article targeting these two keywords with green light (means excellent keywords).

New Update that Might Shock YOU!

Did you know that Google has changed some of its rules? If you haven’t known about it, here are the two major changes that are important to take note:

  • Backlinks is losing its role! (Don’t even think to buy low quality backlinks)
  • Google DO NOT focus on meta tags for ranking purposes! (Don’t waste your time filling it)

  1. Very insightful post Edy! Keywords are really the premise of your online success. The best keywords as you mention it exactly, are those that have a good number of monthly searches while having lowest QSR (competition metric). It’s really important. That way you can get your content ranked very fast, in a matter of a few days. Then, you have to focus solely on the content, on its quality because Google is looking for content that people love to read and comment on. This is the only way to rank well on search engines and get the traffic.
